Nara Arts is in the Jyatha District, near the popular tourist area Thamel.  Nara is truly a delight to work with.  His Dogs are true Dog’ Dogs.  Painted on a blue background, Nara captures the dogs.    I try to give him really masculine dogs, but he did a lovely poodle.  I was testing him.

In October, 2008, I called to let him know I was back in town and the person who answered said that Asha had gone to work in Saudi Arabia for a 3-year contract.   Disappointed, I still left 4 pictures for the new guy who was running the place.   When I came to pick up, the same (distinctive) artist was doing the signboards!  I delightedly commissioned another dozen and an Obama signboard.  Now Asha Arts has become Nara Arts and the artist runs his own studio!

And he did a lovely cat, too.
